My name is Hailey Crafar, I’m 16 years old, and I have been dancing for over ten years. Dance is more than a hobby—it’s a central part of who I am, helping me express myself, stay balanced, and connect with others who share my passion. This year has been particularly exciting, as my crew qualified for the Hip Hop Unite World Championships in Prague, marking our first time in the World Selection category and a milestone I’m incredibly proud of.
I’ve competed extensively, achieving top placements including 1st at the Impact Nations Senior Hip Hop Group in 2024, 1st at NZDA Nationals Intermediate Hip Hop Group in 2024, and 5th in the NZDA Nationals Contemporary Group in 2025, along with numerous other national and regional competitions. Over the years, I’ve developed into a versatile and dedicated dancer, known for being a supportive and hardworking team member.
In the next year, I aim to place in the top 10 at the Hip Hop Unite World Championship and continue developing across all dance genres. Looking ahead, my five-year goal is to become a dance teacher, completing my Level 2 Performing Arts and Dance exams, staying active in the dance community, and inspiring the next generation of dancers.
