  1. Grantee | April 2025

Scott joined Flippa ball (Junior, non-contact water polo) at the age of 6 and a half years old, when a team that a family friend played for was in need of a few extra players. From that point on, he fell in love with the sport and wanted to play it all the time. He was asked to move up into water polo at the age of 10 when the Marlborough u14 team needed players for an upcoming tournament. After playing that tournament, he couldn't stop chasing the water polo adrenaline rush. Since then he has progressed through the sport over many tournaments and many hours of training to get to where he is today.

Scott has been selected in 2025 for the tournament team & won a bronze medal with MBC at the SISSS comp. In 2022 he won the silver medal with MBC at the South Island Junior Secondary School Competition and in 2024 won a bronze medal with MBC at the South Island Senior Secondary School Competition

He has won the MBC cup for Best Junior Water Polo Player 2021 & 2022, and MBC cup for Best Senior Water Polo Player 2023 & 2024. He was Marlborough Water Polo Club player of the year shared with Koko Wong in 2024 and is the most promising male player for the club age group for the last 5 years.
