After taking up competitive mountain bike racing only a couple of years ago, Alex has his sights set on a podium placing at the National Secondary Schools Championships in Marlborough later this year and competing in an Enduro World Series in the next 5 years. In his first National Secondary Schools Champs last October he finished an

impressive 6th Overall in the highly competitive U16 category. Alex’s referees talk about his passion and commitment to improve, combined with “infectious” energy and enthusiasm. Alex’s grant will help him upgrade to a higher performing Enduro bike.
