Aroha has been playing golf since she was 7 years old and from the age of 12 has been representing Tasman Senior Ladies, predominantly as number 1. Her current handicap is 0.0 and she is in the top 1% of players in New Zealand, and she is only 15. In 2022 Aroha had three top 3 placings in National Age Group tournaments, over a dozen wins at
club level and the highlight for the year being winning the NZ U17 Eagles event. Aroha’s five year goals are to represent New Zealand, to have wins at both NZ Stroke Play and NZ Amateur events and gain a golf scholarship to the US. Her grant will contribute towards the cost of attending tournaments around New Zealand.
