Cameron has been mountain biking and successfully competing in events for the last 10 years. In 2022 he was selected to represent New Zealand at the World Champs. Unfortunately, while racing in the UCI World Cup in Scotland, Cameron suffered a broken femur and clavicle
and could not attend the World Champs. Since returning home from Europe he has been working hard on his rehab and it is testament to Cameron’s grit and determination that he has returned to racing stronger than ever. This year he will be travelling to Europe to compete in the UCI Mountain Bike Downhill World Series. He hopes to make it through to the finals in all his events and secure a place in a professional team for next season. Cameron’s referees not only mention his passion and drive, but also how helpful and encouraging he is to his fellow mountain bikers.
