Connor has been participating in duathlons since he was 9. By the age of 12 he had progressed to triathlons when he won the U16 boys Tasman Schools competition. The same year he was placed 3rd in the U19 New Zealand Future Champions Festival. Now aged just 17, Connor will represent NZ at the Gold Coast World Championships later this year with goals to get to the World Championships in Switzerland in 2019 and representing New Zealand at the 2020 Youth Games. He also has a long-term goal of going to the Olympics.
