Logan fell in love with the trombone and music at 13 and has been playing trombone tirelessly in whatever spare time he has. With the incredible guidance of Kevin Mosely and the Marlborough District Brass Band, he progressed to play in the top position in the local band and also 2021-2022 National Secondary Schools Brass Band. In 2021 he placed 2nd in the junior trombone at the NZ National Brass Band Championships and at the 2022 National Champs he was a member of the winning Junior Ensemble and was 3rd place in the Junior slow melody. Logan is very determined to win the Junior Trombone title this year and to be selected for the NZ Youth Band. Logan’s dream is to be accepted into the NZ Army Band and to earn money doing the thing he loves the most. His grant will contribute towards purchasing his own trombone.
