Since seeing the New Zealand Ballet perform Cinderella when she was 4 years old, Samantha has wanted to be a ballerina. She is now 15 and has learnt ballet since she was 5, passing her exams up to Advanced Foundation with Distinction. In 2019 she was offered a place in the Queensland Ballet Academy without audition. This Academy allows her to train at a much higher level than offered in NZ while still attending academic school. The discipline and creativity of ballet is what inspires Samantha and great days are when her dancing can touch people emotionally. She aims to be a professional ballerina.
